What are the homework tasks for this course?

• Intro (WEB101)

  • Throughout the 10 weeks of the course, you will work towards building a fully-functioning website one step at a time. The second half of each session is devoted to project work in breakout rooms with the assistance of TFs and instructors. While the project is designed to be completed during the session, you may optionally work outside of class to add stretch features to your website.
  • Showcase your completed websites on demo day during week 10.
• Intermediate (WEB102)
  • For weeks 1-7, individual projects
  • For week 8-9, the final project output
  • For week 10, the final project presentation
• Advanced (WEB103)
  • For weeks 1-4, individual projects
  • For week 5-9, original web app project milestones
  • For week 10, the final project presentation

What happens if I miss a submission?

• If you miss submitting your assignment on the deadline (first checkpoint), the 72-hour deadline extension is automatically applied as long as you still have any of the 2 allowed. If you still miss the second checkpoint and incur a missing assignment, you will be withdrawn from the program. 
• If you need an additional time extension due to extenuating circumstances, please feel free to email support@codepath.org.

Can I skip homework entirely?

• No, all coursework submissions are required and need to be submitted within the deadline/extension given.
• Incurring even one missing submission will result in your grades not being recorded anymore and not getting any course completion certificate.

I received a missing submission email by mistake

• This usually happens because of the following reasons:
  • The submission could not be found.
  • You did not click on the Submit button for the assignments that need manual submission.
  • The account is incorrectly mapped.
• Reply to the email to let us know, and we’ll look into it further.

I received an email saying that my submission was incomplete. What does this mean?

• This means that you were not able to complete all the required tasks by the deadline.
• You'll need to complete the rest by the given deadline extension (if not yet used).
